Malaysian Coffee Bags

posted Thursday, 4 August 2005
One of the guys at work gave me a Malaysian Coffee Bag to try out, I can't say I've ever seen coffee come in bags before, only tea... Anyway, the back of the packet says this coffee contains salt, and margarine - two things I'm sure I'd never see in coffee.

The coffee, as you can see is an incredible dark reddish colour, and very strong... There's an odd undertaste to it which makes me think of the margarine in here, but I'm not sure.

Malaysian Coffee are now widely available in coffee bags to cater to the more sophisticated Malaysian society.

In the old days, coffee manufacturers use to produce coffee only in the loose powder form, which is still very much available!! Back then Malaysians brew their coffee in a pot, sieve it and sit back for a nice hot cuppa. Now they only have to select and brew their favorite "coffee bag" in a cup for a quick and enjoyable cuppa!
