Easter Update...

posted Tuesday, 29 March 2005
  • Hung out with Rebecca on Friday and finnished watching Angel Season 5. a) I can't believe I held out watching the rest of the episodes till she came over again to see the rest. b) after a really great start to the season, it just lost itself for the second half c) ...and don't get me started on the ending...
  • Last Monday I was ready to give up reading Seven Types of Ambiguity, I just wasn't getting into it, it wasn't a genre I normally read, yet something kept tugging at me to continue, then on Monday night it hit me, a pivital point in the story where something clicked, and I just couldn't put the thing down. I'm gonna have to give this book a fuller review/commentary at some point, but the book is damn amazing - downright disturbing in that I somehow relate quite well with Simon Heywood's character.
  • After looking over the endless shelves of unread books, I finally started on the Saga of the Seven Suns by Kevin J. Anderson. I've only just looked at the series' website and am somewhat shocked to see theres 7 books planned in the series, even though I should have guessed from the series title.
  • Caught up with my old friend Pete on Sunday night and saw Constaintine again - I'm loving this film. Some people have commented on the pacing of the film, but I have no real issues with the slowness of most of it, it's also one of the things I really liked about the film.
  • On the tech. side, I started migrating some needless BMP EJB's in my work project over to Spring beans, using a JdbcTemplate, finally I can test there functionality with speed and ease without having to load up a huge appserver. I'm liking this.
  • I received, nor purchased, any easter eggs.
  • My brother never returned my calls/sms's.
