32 Redux

posted Wednesday, 31 May 2006

So my birthdays been and gone - I'm older, not sure I'm any wiser, and I survived intact with all facilities operational.

Last night saw me hit The Academy Cinema with Yem to see Russian Dolls, a bizarre wee love story that I really enjoyed.

Following this evenings Java Community meeting I rushed off to meet up with my brother and his wife to see Tripod at The Transmission Room - darn good show. It was cool catching up with Ed as well - talking about podcasting - both from the podsafe music side and also from setting up and producing a show.

It also looks like I've signed myself up to give a short presentation at the next Java Community meeting on Selenium-RC and TestNG, I generally loathe public speaking but what the hell. Only now I have to work out just what I'm going to show off.

Along with the eventful outings of a social nature, a bunch of CDs arrived just in time from Amazon for my festive aural enjoyment:

  • Antagoria - God has a plan for us all
  • Vanden Plas - Christ 0
  • The Flower Kings - Paradox Hotel
  • Evergrey - Monday Morning Apocalypse
  • Zyklon - Disintegrate
  • Enslaved - Nuum
  • Head Control System - Murder Nature
  • Scar Symmetry - Pitch Black Progress

Big Flower Kings fan myself, and Paradox Hotel is growing on me, but I still miss the days of Live on Planet Earth, Stardust We Are or Back in the World of Adventures.

Good luck with your TestNG presentation :-)
