Online Photo Piracy ok?

posted Tuesday, 5 June 2007

I was randomly channel surfing on the TV and stumbled on this piece about online photo piracy which I managed to record just in time:

The story comes off in a quite cheesy manner, but its also a serious topic that I've often seen talked about within the blogging world.

Annoyingly, google video screwed up the end of the video which offered the suggestion: "If you've got pictures on the internet and you want to keep them safe - set the resolution as low as possible and place a watermark such as SAMPLE or your website address over the image."

Update: As Zach just mentioned, the photo in question comes up in the FIRST line of a google photo search for pohutukawa's.
