Lying to clients

posted Friday, 30 November 2007

Just seen on Undernet #java:

prived: hi. Is there a new java called wicked java or something?
^talios^: prived: you mean wicket? the web framework
prived: tnx
prived: ^talios^: have a project. Client wants wiket. "Sure I know it, sir!" - reading now... OMG so overcomplicated
^talios^: so - you lied to your client?
prived: ^talios^: He-he, who cares about lies if everyone will be OK at the end of it.

Why oh why do people have to lie to clients when taking on jobs?

Because client would not give him project unless he lies. He will not get a project if he says that he do not know that framework but is experienced enough to learn it in very short time.

I guess you mean the same by last line.
