Picked up the new limited edition Exorcist box set including all 3 Exorcist films. The box is #1940 of a #5000 limited run. I love the cross motif on the box packaging as well. I wasn't really in the mood to watch them tonight so hopefully I'll get to them sometime in the week. Not all churches practice baptism by immersion. Rom 10:9-10 states "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation." There is no mention of baptism here. Eph 2:8-9 states, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God: not as a result of works, that no one should boast." I'm not discounting works...I believe faith without works is dead, and the first thing a believer should do is get baptised. But if they don't, it doesn't mean they aren't saved. If that were the case then you are saying that the death of Jesus on the cross was not enough. The full atonement for our sins was not on the cross. Quite the contrary....the CROSS finished it, we are completely redeemed by the death, blood and ressurection of Jesus on the cross. Nothing more is needed. It is finished on the cross.I think that basically sums up my position as well.
