Telecom Rubbish Film Fest

posted Tuesday, 12 April 2005
I noticed on the TV earlier tonight an advert for Telecom New Zealand's new Rubbish Film Fest, a film festival aimed around movies made on their new 3G mobile handsets.

One thing that strike me is the reference to them being "rubbish", is this just an admission that the film quality of mobile handsets is "rubbish", or that they expect all the entries to be rubbish?

All the films and tv adverts appear to be available on the website, however I don't currently have QuickTime installed to view them :(

I think the 'rubbish' tag is meant to be tongue in cheek. I reckon it's a choice idea -- although those phones are expensive. The thing with quicktime isn't a biggie; anyone can download it for free. It's the best video player anyway.
