What is it with love
That drives the heart to pain
When confusion quells our sense of truth
Leaving only madness and insanity with free reign
Ours is not to question why, just dry our teasr and hope we die
What is it with love
That hurts?
Is it love or is it our idea of how love should be that drives us to pain. Is it love that hurts or is it our interpretation of love that hurts....what we think is love may not be love at all. Our controlling, enabling and rescuing can seem like love but really, it's the opposite and maybe it's that drives us to pain, and often we don't question why when we feel we are loving the other person that all we get back is pain...in actual fact we are hurting ourselves. Hmmmm the pain does feel fatalistic but there is a better way.
